Mountain summer in Ötztal: Discover new things. Find yourself.

The Ötztal is 65 kilometers long. You pass through four climate zones from the mild valley entrance with its orchards and vineyards right up to the ice and rocky world of the three thousand meter peaks. The landscape is correspondingly diverse, a unique habitat where everything comes together, where everyone and everything has its place. The Ötztal is known for its wide range of outdoor opportunities on the mountain, in the valley and on the wild waters of the Ötztaler Ache.

Kayak & canoe tours in the Ötztal. The paradise for experienced paddlers

If you appreciate variety in a kayak or canoe, the Ötztal is the right place for you. Every kilometer you ride through the wide bed of the Ache river reveals new natural beauty. Mighty gorges alternate with narrow ravines, while the swirling white water offers the ultimate thrill for adrenaline junkies. The Ötztaler Ache runs through the landscape over a distance of 42 km. Depending on the water level, there are very different, sometimes extreme technical challenges from May to October (seven sections in difficulty levels 3 to 6). On warm summer days, the river bubbles and rages, while in fall it is calmer but never boring. Rafting the Ötztaler Ache requires a lot of practice with some of the world's most difficult whitewater passages.
