Kayak Cross
The Oetz Kayak Cross will take place on Friday afternoon following the qualifying heats on the slalom course in Oetz. Starting at 1:00 p.m., groups of four athletes will compete against each other on the kayak cross course, which is dotted with gates. The two fastest starters from each heat advance to the next round. This continues until around 4:00 p.m., when the final four women and four men face off in the Kayak Cross final.

The number of participants for the Kayak Cross is limited to 32 men and 16 women. Starting positions are assigned based on the times from the qualifying heats.
Only those who have qualified for the Kayak Cross competition may compete in this race. Additionally, those who have qualified for the main OETZ TROPHY competition on Saturday are not eligible to compete.

Rules
- 01You must be at least 18 years old on the day of the event.
- 02The competition is open to the top 32 men and 16 women who did not qualify for the OETZ TROPHY.
- 03All participants must accept and personally sign the terms and conditions when picking up their race numbers.
- 04All participants must have experience on Class V whitewater and be able to navigate it safely.
- 05All participants must wear a whitewater helmet (EN 1385) and a life jacket with a safety harness (ISO 12402-5).
- 06All participants must wear adequate cold-weather gear. Long neoprene or dry pants worn with a paddle jacket, or a drysuit, are permitted. Shorts of any kind are not allowed and will result in disqualification!
- 07For the Oetz Kayak Cross, participants may change kayaks between the qualifying round and the race. The kayak must be equipped with airbags and be approved by the ICF for Kayak Cross races.
- 08The kayaks used must comply with the official ICF rules.
- 09Four paddlers per heat, the first two advance to the next round.
- 10Intentional body contact and obstruction of other paddlers leads to disqualification.
