OETZ TROPHY
The OETZ TROPHY is one of the hardest kayak races in the world. On the Ötztaler Ache — whitewater class V — the world's best paddlers compete head to head. No open entry: only the fastest 50 men and 12 women from the qualifying heats will be allowed to compete in the race.
The race course covers the most demanding sections of the Ötztaler Ache. Class V whitewater with technical passages, powerful hydraulics and fast currents. The course demands experience, technique, and the willingness to push your limits. Only those who know and respect the river stand a chance here.

Rules
- 01Mindestalter von 18 Jahren am Tag der Veranstaltung.
- 02Participation is only possible after successful qualification on Friday.
- 03Acceptance of the terms & conditions and privacy policy at bib number distribution.
- 04All participants must have proven experience in class V whitewater.
- 05Alle Teilnehmer:innen müssen einen Wildwasserhelm (EN 1385) und eine Schwimmweste mit Sicherheitsgurt (ISO 12402-5) tragen.
- 06Alle Starter:innen müssen einen ausreichenden Kälteschutz tragen. Eine lange Neopren- oder Trockenhose in Kombination mit einer Paddeljacke oder ein Trockenanzug sind zulässig. Kurze Hosen jeglicher Art sind nicht zugelassen und führen zur Disqualifikation!
- 07Full safety equipment is mandatory: helmet, PFD, spray skirt, throw bag.
- 08Bei der OETZ TROPHY muss die identische Ausrüstung wie bei der Qualifikation verwendet werden. Ein Bootstausch während der Veranstaltung ist daher zum Beispiel nicht zulässig.
